Easy Access Makes TW's Agents Special

Local agents are key to the success of TW, and we are looking for licensed independent insurance agents in Pennsylvania and Ohio who want to work closely with the best underwriters in the business. We are at the head of our class because we rely on agents who have intimate knowledge of their communities and the potential policyholders within them.

As a TW agent you would have an inside track on target markets, benefit from top-notch technology, including online ratings and quotes for coverage options, and a one-on-one relationship with your own underwriter. The underwriter, in turn, provides unique access to our claims specialists.

"This is really unique to the industry," says David Schweitzer, who has been at the helm of TW's Claims Department for more than a decade. "Underwriters in the market generally do not deal with claims, but the agents know them best and the claims process is built to do it that way."

An agent's relationship with the underwriter keeps it simple, whether it is dealing with marketing or IT support issues, and easy access is assured. Draft authority for authorized agents and adjusters provides an edge in dealing with a client in the wake of a loss.

Target Markets Provide an Edge

You might say that TW has a leg up on the competition because of our target markets and the competitive pricing we have at our disposal. Combine that with the aforementioned responsiveness with underwriters on policy issues and claims management and frustration is kept at a minimum.

What are some of those markets that set us apart?

  • The forest industry encompasses a wide range of businesses associated with wood products, notably loggers, woodworkers, sawmills, cabinet manufacturers and more.
  • Food service is clearly a target market for TW and that includes restaurants, bars and taverns, catering businesses and social clubs.
  • Farms are one of our major coverage lines, and you'll find TW is extremely competitive here, whether you are dealing with dairy farms, tenant-occupied farms or hobby farms.
  • TW's Neighborhood Program specializes in covering small- and mid-sized businesses typical in conventional neighborhoods, whether you are insuring the landlord of an apartment building (habitational real estate) or a business renting store-front space.
  • Then there are those special events that are often seasonal and, sometimes, one afternoon in a lifetime. Our Specialty Insurance plans include campgrounds, hunting clubs and even wedding receptions.

TW's Technology Is Top-Notch

You don't need to be intimidated by our website or the technology that connects us to our agents. You can be assured that it is fast and easy to use.

For starters, check out our FiRST online rating for all our lines— commercial, personal, farm and umbrella. It's a real-time quoting and uploading platform that continues our commitment to easy access. You will be able to upload all lines of business through our agent portal, as well as quote-to-issue for personal lines. Download is available for homeowners, dwelling fire, mobile homeowners and more.

Finally, there is the added convenience of online credit and debit card payments and the ability to make electronic funds transfers.
